on:Our quilting group is called The Piece Makers. We are a group of ladies that meet twice a month on the first and third Thursday @ Advent Lutheran Church, 4306 132nd Street SE, Mill Creek, Washington. The leader of our group is Cora Evans. She can be reached at 425-743-3691if more information is needed. All are welcome to come and give a helping hand. There are usually anywhere from 10 up to 20 in attendance (not all members of the church). The quilt tops are sewn by various members of the group. We then assemble them at our meetings. We stuff with batting and gently used bed sheets are used for the backing. During our session, we assemble and tie the quilts. Two of our ladies then sew the binding. On average we complete 10 quilts each time we meet. Last year over 150 quilts were made that were then distributed through Lutheran World Relief to places that were in need. We also make quilts for local charities and a quilt is given to each graduating high school senior.
Currently we have two sewing machines working during our sessions. Quality Sewing and Vacuum very generously donated a Brother NS40 sewing machine. This has allowed our group to work more productively. Our old machine was constantly breaking down. Your gift has certainly been a blessing to our group. ouus.

I have a question. Do you accept fabric scraps? I especially use a lot of flannel and have a lot of leftovers for someone who could put them together.
